NATIONAL KICKING COMBINE SERIES FINALS |
In January, all three of the Plano Wildcat Kickers - varsity starter Grant Pierce (Sr.), reserve varsity Daniel Holmdie (Sr.), and JV starter Chris Moore (Jr.) competed in a combine show in Dallas for the "Combine Series" to attempt to qualify for the national finals in Tampa, FL. These competitions put them in front of college coaches for future recruiting purposes. This competition comes after a lot of hard work and training in the off-season for these guys. All three of the Plano kickers qualified for the finals, which is unusual for one school to achieve this at one time. The final combine in Tampa had kickers from all over the country and proved to be some of the toughest competition these guys have ever faced. The results showed that these Plano Wildcats were up to the test in all aspects. Daniel Holmdie ended up being ranked # 4 in overall punting in head-to-head finals and in the top 10 in all competitions he participated in (ranked in the nation). See below on how they ended up before head-to-head competition. (Way to go Daniel !) Below are the links to the results of the final competitions: |
